Traumatologist
I understand that taking the first step toward therapy takes immense courage and can feel overwhelming. I am committed to providing a safe, confidential, and compassionate space where you can explore your experiences with empathy, understanding, and without judgement.
I am passionate about helping people navigate the effects of trauma. Unlike traditional counselling, trauma therapy is more directive, I use an evidence-based treatment approach that provides structure and focus helping you to process and integrate distressing memories, emotions, and sensations so they no longer feel overwhelming or defining. This allows them to become part of your experience rather than something to fear or avoid, empowering you to build confidence, strengthen self-esteem, and develop healthier relationships.
Trauma Therapy is a collaborative journey, tailored to your unique needs. That is why the initial assessment is an essential part of the process which allows us to explore the best path forward based on your own individual experiences. My approach follows three key phases after assessment: safety and stabilisation, trauma processing, and integration, often involving a commitment to work outside of sessions.
I truly believe in trauma therapy’s ability to bring meaningful healing and change. Wherever you are on your journey, I am here to offer guidance, support, and a safe space where healing can begin.
